Constructor Technology Ltd is a small family run business, that has been
creating and running job sites since 2001.
The job sites we produce are designed to be high profile and easy to find.
The only real first mover advantage to be had in digital advertising
was to acquire the only scarce resource available, premium domain names.
The ideal business model for this sector is unlike any other. Both Google
and Amazon benefited from being early entrants, today you would need billions
to compete with them. Nobody is going to create another Google whilst
working from a college dorm and then a garage as they did. To be a winner
in digital advertising all you need is a high profile (your site/sites
need to be easy to find) and in a highly competitive and fragmented market
you need differentiation that cannot be replicated. Only one U.K. company
can have an engineering jobs domain name the quality of EngineeringJobs.co.uk
and nobody can match the systems that allow Constructor Technology to
function on an extremely low overhead.
It is our low overheads that allow us to profitably offer the lowest
cost advertising. Digital advertising it is all about delivering a premium
product in the most cost effective way possible. Big companies are actually
disadvantaged by their size and wealth, what is a worthwhile opportunity
to a small company is simply uneconomical to a big company. As Constructor
Technology increase the number of sites it operates it can spread its
overhead even further, preventing price increases and even allowing price
reductions. Ultimately this is the business model that will prevail.
